Traveling abroad can be life changing, there is so many amazing adventures you can experience. The last thing you want to think about while your making memories is your period.

While you’ll be able to find tampons in most supermarkets and drugstores in most countries, especially in Europe, that’s not the case everywhere. Let’s take a quick look at where you’ll find feminine hygiene products in popular European countries so you can spend more time enjoying your hard earn vacation instead of searching high and low for tampons.

Croatia: Pads and tampons, with and without applicators, are available in almost all drugstores and supermarkets.

France: Pads and tampons without applicators are widely available in drugstores and supermarkets. Tampons with cardboard applicators can be found in major cities, like Paris and Nice.

Portugal: Pads and tampons, with and without applicators, are widely available in supermarkets throughout the country.

Portugal

Spain: Pads are widely available in supermarkets. Tampons can be a little harder to find, but are available with and without applicators in major supermarkets and drugstores, especially in big cities.

Barcelona

United Kingdom: Everything from pads, liners, tampons, and menstrual cups can be found in supermarkets and chemists (drugstores).

London

Of course if you’re really struggling, ask a local woman at your hostel, hotel, or tourist office. They are likely to point you in the right direction. It’s always good to have a small stash of a couple of pads and/or tampons in your luggage for emergencies.
