7 Healthy Habits of Truly Happy Women

Every human being is the direct outcome of the habits which govern his or her life. It’s no wonder, then, that many find themselves in the throes of darkness, ranging from slightly irritable to deeply depressed. But with the right set of habits, any woman can find herself quickly on the path of happiness.

Habit One: Begin each day on a positive note.

It can be easy to hit the ground running from the moment that you wake up and just barrel through the day at break-neck pace. This bad habit could spell disaster. Before diving into the piles of “to-dos” that seem to grow each day, taking even five minutes to breathe and reflect on things which bring you joy can put you in the right state of mind to remain positive throughout the course of the day. It is best to take these moments in a quiet, peaceful environment, free from distraction. The world and its many demands can wait while you allow your mind and heart to focus on being centered and at peace.

Habit Two: Speak lovingly to yourself

News flash: we all talk to ourselves. But, the tone of conversation that you have with yourself can either work to build you up or tear you down. In fact, the messages that you receive and internalize from others are a direct reflection of the conversations that you have with yourself. Speak to your strengths and what you love about yourself and watch your happiness flourish.

Habit Three: Get around empowering women

It’s a natural human tendency to do the same things as our friends do. So, if you want to be happy, healthy, and positive, you must put yourself around women who are also this way. If you are not growing, you are dying. So, it only makes sense to be around women who are growing and will help to encourage and facilitate your own growth.

Habit Four: Smile

There is not much more uplifting than a warm smile. Studies have shown that smiling has an immediate effect on mood elevation. Plus, in relation to happiness, smiling is definitely a step in the right direction.

Habit Five: Keep your vagina clean

While this might seem like a no-brainer, you might be surprised at how little attention and care women give their own vaginas. Being sure to wash with water on the inside (vinegar can be used occasionally) and outside with soap and water can help you to feel refreshed, adding to your happiness. Habit Six: Keep a journal

Part of the first habit, staring the day on a positive note, is allowing you to take a moment for yourself. Writing your thoughts and feelings in a journal is another great way to take emotional inventory. Sometimes, simply getting the thoughts out of your head is enough for a cathartic release, allowing you to move uninhibited through your day.

Habit Seven: Be sexy

While each woman may have her own definition of what this means, stepping into your sexiness every day can help you to be happy. For some, it’s dressing nicely or wearing high heels. Others prefer spa treatments. Still others feel sexy when they wear nice jewelry. Whatever it is, be sure to make being sexy a habit that you exercise every day in some way to empower yourself.

Happiness can mean many things, but most can agree that health, peace, and joy are traits and states held by happy people. Begin applying these simple habits in your everyday life and watch your happiness increase.
